You're engaged (congratulations!), you're a bride-to-be and you're planning a wedding...therefore we're sure you've heard of Rock My Wedding? This blog. Well, it's pretty amazing isn't it!? We're obsessed with all of the pretty.
Anyhoo, when the founder, Charlotte, asked us to be a part of their latest magazine (www.rockmywedding.co.uk/magazine/) we were really rather chuffed. We chatted about the styling and the monochromatic, French-Bardot feel RMW (www.rockmywedding.co.uk) wanted to capture and came up with a white, black and green palette which was to be draped in foliage and heavily textured.
We arrived at Iscoyd Park super duper early to be greeted by Charlotte in RMW's little cottage that was their home for the shoot. RMW were all such a friendly, chilled and talented bunch and made us feel like part of the team as we munched on croissants and drank coffee before the day began.
The jaw-droppingly gorgeous models arrived, went into makeup, the styling got started and Anna started working her magic taking the most beautiful shots.
When creating the florals, we really wanted to focus on timeless style where the textures and blooms took centre stage rather than the colour palette. We also wanted to showcase tones which may not be typically 'bridal' to show that masculine structure can still be effortlessly soft and beautiful.
We included black-centred white anemones, blush 'White O'hara' roses, soft grey brunia, velvety cosmos, guelder rose, 'Superbubbles' spray roses, dahlias, hellebores, deep purple-black viburnum berries, 'lollypop' hydrandea, dusty miller, eucalyptus and purple leaf in our creations and focused on visual impact and contrasting textural elements rather than feminine delicate daintiness. We still felt it exuded stylish bridal floral but without being too obvious or planned.
We absolutely loved being a part of the magazine, creating floral fancies which were perhaps unexpected and pushed the bridal bloom boundaries and we really hope you enjoy the visual beauty of such an inspirational collaboration.
