It is the place where you will say 'I do' to the love of your life so making the ceremony as beautiful as it can be is an important styling decision when it comes to floral design. We feel privileged to create these blooms for couples as they embark on such a momentous occasion in their lives.
There are so many bloomin' gorgeous displays to choose from such as textured arch garlands of ice-cream pastel delphiniums, scented eucalyptus and thalaspia to antique stone urns filled with marshmallow hydrangea, garden roses and delicate stocks.
When choosing how to 'style your aisle', we believe visual impact is the key. For church weddings, a beautiful, romantic arch over the lynch gate can set the whole tone of the wedding as often it is the first style element of your whole day that guests will see. A church arch can be very heavily foliaged with texture coming from eucalyptus cinerea, ruscus and trailing honeysuckle and then blooms such as roses, peonies, delphiniums, stocks, veronica and hydrangea can be delicately interspersed throughout. For a stylish stately home, elegant hotel or rustic country barn venue, flowers can adorn the entrance gate, front door or any wedding signage to direct guests.
For the altar or registrar table itself, stunning pedestals or urns can be placed either side of the bride and groom to frame the moment beautifully. Often ceremony venues can be vast spaces with high ceilings or large windows so by including floral elements to the styling of the room, a space can become so much more intimate, ambient and focused on the event about to take place.
Next time, we'll be sharing ideas on floral centrepieces to create a beautifully romantic wedding reception but we hope we've given you some inspiration to style the beginning of the most special day of your life.
